• Co-founder of business service company that grew beyond initial strategy, received four rounds of investment capital, secured listing on NYSE and now valued at over $13 billion.
• Co-founded a company to pursue a business opportunity by sourcing and qualifying producers of industrial products in the Far East (China, India, Thailand) that would meet the quality and business standards of US manufacturers who were looking for 2nd sources to existing US suppliers. Doubled sales by negotiating a multiyear contract with an automotive supplier.
• Co-founded an internet B2B company to pursue a disruptive technology in the logistics/trucking industry. Although we raised an initial financing we could not raise additional funds as the ‘bubble burst’ before we completed development. Subsequently the concept has been mimicked by numerous companies and to a great extent has been an industry standard.
• Developed an independent equity research business and secured relationships with sell side broker dealers, buy side institutions, company issuers and investor relations consultants. Received a “Five Star” rating by Yahoo Finance for stock performance. Completed over 50 institutional quality research reports on companies in the energy, chemical, refining, technology, healthcare, medical device and other industries. Developed a portfolio of micro-cap companies based on a hybrid technical/fundamental strategy that increased over 500% in the first three years.
• Co-founder of smart app company that received initial funding.
• Assisted in providing four rounds of growth capital, revising initial corporate strategy and relocating company to access necessary employee skill set eventually resulting in NYSE listing and $13 billion market capitalization.
• Secured funding for $14 million oil service company in 3-D Seismic Services, purchased controlling interest, identified new business opportunities resulting in $100 million sales rate within two years and public listing on the NASDAQ exchange
• Petrocom
• Worked for a thirty year old leveraged buyout firm and developed and implemented a campaign to solicit a targeted industry and succeeded in establishing relationships with fifteen companies. Worked with The Sterling Group, an early leader in the LBO industry targeting the chemical industry.
• Identified and acquired three companies in bankruptcy, successfully re-negotiated loan agreements and restored operations to profitability.
• Worked with printing company in default to lenders, re-negotiated terms and sold to strategic buyer.
• Restarted shut down mini steel plant, resolved environmental issues, achieved profitability and IPO. Initial investment group return was $5 million cost basis to $250 million over 8 year time-frame.
• Worked as International Business Development capacity for a $1 billion manufacturing firm and evaluated acquisition and joint venture candidates. Led a team of four professionals in arranging a joint venture in Thailand including selecting the partner, structuring and negotiating marketing, manufacturing and technology agreements with the partner and securing all Government approvals. Traveled to Europe, Mexico, Korea, China, Taiwan Thailand and India to evaluate joint ventures and develop market entry strategies for various business units.
• Worked on acquisition team that consummated 36 transactions valued at over $1 billion.
• Participated on buy side of $500 million of transactions.
• As Product Manager of a Fortune 100 energy company evaluated new markets, developed new products and developed a marketing strategy that resulted in a 50% increase in market share within three years with no capital investment.
• Conducted due diligence for acquiring company, discovered the seller had conducted fraud, individual is now under prosecution by Federal authorities.
• Negotiated acquisition of four consumer product brands for 100 year old distribution company.
• Developed marketing plan that increased sales of printing company from $300 million to $1 billion.
